Last date to apply to participate in the Rainbow Festival is 12:00pm, Friday, June 1, 2012. All late fees apply.
Hours of Operation: Please do not leave or tear down your booths until 5:00 pm. Failure to follow this rule could lead to non-participation or extra fees in the 2012 Rainbow Festival.
General Info: Participants are not allowed to “sell” or give away food or raffle tickets. Selling Raffle tickets is considered gambling which is not allowed in Riverfront Park and selling food competes with established park food vendors. Raffle tickets or other items can only be solicited for donation. If you wish to sell items, please purchase a commercial business license and register as a commercial business not a non-profit. Any booth or organization that sells or gives away food will be asked to leave the park immediately! Please let us know if you’d like your raffle winners announced from the stage.
Booths: Each booth space is approximately 10’ x 10’. See above for booth fees. OutSpokane does NOT supply canopies.
Premium Corner Booths: There are five (5) corner booths available for an additional $25 charge. Having a corner booth doubles your "storefront" as you will have 10' on the front and 10' on one side to distribute information and show your wares.
Tables & Chairs: The cost to rent an 8’ x 2’ table is $10.00, folding chairs are $3.00 each. You are welcome to provide your own. Please provide your own table cover, paper weights and information stands to display your literature or goods. Your table and/or chairs should already be in your booth space when you arrive. If you don’t pre-order a table or chairs there may not be any available at the event.
Payment Due Dates: By registering on-line, you are reserving a spot for your organization at the 2012 Rainbow Festival. To make sure your reservation is held, your payment must be received by OutSpokane by June 1st, 2012. If your payment is not received by the due date, you will not be allowed to set up on Saturday. A $25.00 fee will be charged for all checks that are returned to OutSpokane for any reason. If there is a problem with meeting this deadline, please contact us at info@outspokane.org. Only PayPal, checks or money orders will be accepted as payment. Do not send or supply cash. Make checks and money orders out to OutSpokane and mail to: P.O. Box 883, Spokane, WA 99201-0883.
Check-in: Please check in at the OutSpokane booth to the right of the stage, to get your space assignment before you set up.
Vehicles: You may bring your vehicles on-site to load and unload equipment and stock only and then they will need to be removed immediately from the park! To bring your vehicle in to the park to unload, you will need to obtain a car permit to display in your car window from OutSpokane at our booth next to the stage. You may only enter and exit the park from the north entrance to the park next to Spokane Federal Credit Union by the Flour Mill. If you do not have a car permit you WILL be ticketed by the police. The ticket is $110. Vehicles placed in the park for display must stay in the park until 5:30pm. Moving vehicles in the park during an event can/will also be ticketed. Vehicles may drive on park walkways only, do not drive off the park sidewalk curbs. OutSpokane will provide an “unloading only” zone on Post Street across from City Hall on the west side of the park.
Parade: The parade kicks off at 12:00 noon. Participants must be sure all materials are secured on your table with weights if the wind kicks up. Make plans for someone to watch your table if you have merchandise and are participating in the parade. OutSpokane will not be responsible for any stolen or missing merchandise or information left unattended.
Commerical Vendors: Commercial participants must have a business license.
Non-profits: Distribution of informational material must be the main focus of your space. You may not sell items, but you may have items available in exchange for a monetary donation. These items cannot be the major focus of your space. Raffle tickets can only be offered for monetary donation. If you would like to sell items for your organization, please purchase a business license and register as a commercial business.
Weather: OutSpokane has no control over the weather and does NOT supply canopies so remember to bring some kind of protection for your bodies and tables. Come rain, wind, or shine, Pride will go on.
Food: You may want to consider bringing a meal or snack for yourself as well as something to drink. There will be the usual park food vendors and, of course, Riverpark Square is across the street.
Booth Participation: OutSpokane reserves the right to review and or refuse any request for a booth space at the Rainbow festival.
